The Local Play Spot For Those 'Chill Out Have Fun' Paddling Sessions

Last Updated on October 2, 2002

Maisemore Weir is our local playspot. Its a fun little weir that always changes, it's never the same twice. In fact sometimes its not even there! The severn bore crashes into it to finish a mad river surf, and it's also home to the Gloucester Canoe Clubs paddlers.

These photos were taken on a cold day, the river was up and the weir was a decent size to play on. Bobby Edgar and Matt Hammersley took out the play boats and got wet. At least 30 kayak rolls each, and lots of happy grins.
