Ice Canoeing

brrrrrr its cold...so cold that the lake we use for canoeing with some groups was frozen yesterday...so we went ice canoeing..great fun..pics coming soon...

1/2 the lake was frozen over with a 2 cm thick ice sheet so we had great fun with the kids playing ice breakers...and canoe polo became ice hockey... it was so cold that by the time we had played around in the ice at one end when we paddled back down it was frozen over agin where we first broke it.

the kids were having so much fun they forgot about the cold air and didnt want to get out of the water at the end.


ice canoeing...new sport?????
