Sled Dog Racing Season

winter is well and truly here and we have been out running dogs most days. this years team consists of kirra lolly and wolfe althoguh we have only been racing the girls....wolfe will make his racing debut in scotland at the end of febuary in the UK sled dog championships.

the racing season for 2003/04 has been going very well so far.

weve had a 3rd place at thruxton race and top ten finishes in the rest of our races this season.

we competing in the Affiliated British Sleddog Association championship series this winter, and althought we are not doing the full championship we are doing quite well. the dogs are running well and we are having fun!

the bigrace for us this year is in scotlands AE forest. we are entering our team in the UK sled dog championships. held over 3 days we have 1 night race and 2 day races, apparnetly the trails are being groomed already so it should be a fast race. there will be teams from all over the uk running anything from 2 to 10 dogs with not just siberian huskies. there wil be malamute, alaskan huskies, even german short haired pointers will be running in some peoples teams.

training is going well with a few night runs, which is scary when you see eyes in the dark staring back at you from the woods!!!!!!!
