Big Winter Surf
Last Updated on January 26, 2004
the uk doesnt sound like the ideal surf spot for big waves, but that was all difftrent on the weekend of the 10th of jan, a swell hit the cornish coast pushing waves up to 10 foot...thats about the size of the side of your average house...
we hit towan beach in newquay for a weekends surfing and scored it at its best, off shore winds grooming the face and holding the waves up.
towan was hollow at low tide and severall barrels were made along with plenty of off the lip moves...my board was flying and i was having a to notch surf.
it held up over night to give some gerat waves at low tide the next day as well.
a good weekend..unfortunatley the surf was so good i didnt get much photos, other than these few. the waves out back at watergate were breaking 1/4 mile out to sea and peaking on the sets at 10 foot at least.
oh and these pic s of me and my two brothers..who decided to pull silly face and stick the bellys out for a laugh haha nice to surf woth you again guys its been to long!!!!!
